What would you let an AI agent buy without asking?
WTF is agentic shopping?: You tell AI what you need. It searches, compares, builds the cart and can place the order with your approval. The recommendation and the actions after it happen in the same conversation.
I opened a shopping website, picked a dress and dragged it into AnyWear.
Then I turned on my camera.
The dress appeared on my body while I moved. The preview stayed live, almost like standing in front of a strange digital mirror.
You can try AnyWear here. It is free during its beta at the time of writing.
One limit: this shows how an outfit may look. It cannot reliably tell you the real size, fabric feel or physical fit, in my testing its cool..

I still found the dress and made the decision. AnyWear helped with the part online shopping usually cannot give us: seeing the product inside our own world before buying it.

⭐Today's Shortcut
Shopping agents are learning two different jobs:
Help us decide.
Complete the purchase.
AnyWear is an early example of the first job.
example:
The second job is already working in India.
The agent can already place the order
Swiggy's official MCP connectors connect Instamart, Swiggy Food and Dineout to assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.
You can ask:
Order the ingredients for Thai green curry for four people.
The agent can search Instamart, compare products, build the cart, apply coupons, use your saved address, place the order and track it.
Today, you still start the request and confirm the purchase. That approval matters because an agent should not spend your money based on a bad guess.
That turns several app screens into one request.
Groceries will probably go first
Milk is easier to delegate than a wedding outfit.
Groceries and household supplies are repetitive. The products, quantities, budget and replacement rules can be written down.
The next useful version may work like this:
Keep milk, eggs and toothpaste stocked. Spend no more than INR 1,500 a week. Ask me before changing brands.
This needs more than a shopping connector. The agent also needs memory, a schedule, spending rules and an approval step.
Swiggy already lists an auto-restock Instamart agent as something developers can build. It is a developer example, not a finished autopilot mode for every user.
Clothes will stay collaborative
Clothing involves taste, identity and how something feels on your body.
For clothes, I expect the work to be split:
The agent searches across stores using your budget, size and preferences.
AnyWear or another try-on model shows the shortlisted clothes on you.
You choose what feels right.
The agent handles coupons, checkout, delivery and returns.

That is how I expect this to work: the agent handles the search and checkout, while the person keeps the decisions that carry taste or identity.
AI will probably take over the shopping that feels like a chore before it touches the shopping that feels personal.
The agent buys the milk.
You still choose the wedding outfit.
Now go and try anywear.. it’s kinda cool
