Would you use an AI assistant without opening your phone?
WTF is Muse on glasses?: Muse is Meta’s personal AI agent. Meta plans to put it on AI glasses, where you can call it by name, ask about what you see and give it a task.

Meta says Muse is coming to its AI glasses in the coming months.
One example in its Connect recap: ask about a product on a shelf and let Muse answer from what you are looking at.
That idea connects the other big announcements: new voice features for Muse, more AI glasses, updates to glasses with a display, a pocket-sized Muse device and a lighter VR product. Each gives people another way to reach Meta’s AI.

Muse gets voice, Mac skills and connections
Meta says Muse is getting a richer voice mode for longer conversations, with a voice you can shape by describing how you want it to sound. It also showed Realtime Avatar, an expressive animated face that can speak with you through Muse.
Muse for Mac can now operate Mac apps with your permission and keep working on tasks after you step away. Meta also plans to give Muse its own email address and connect it to more services. Its new connections include retailers such as Walmart and Sephora, work tools like Notion, GitHub and Box, and Expedia, which is coming soon for travel. Meta’s official Connect recap has the full list.
Meta also teased Muse Charm, a pocket-sized device for talking with Muse. It has not shared a price or full specifications; more details are promised later this year.
Glasses are the clearest bridge
Meta expects to offer more than 100 AI glasses styles across Ray-Ban, Oakley and Meta by year-end, including a collection designed with LISA. The new Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses pair AI with speakers that leave your ears open. They weigh 43 grams, are rated for up to 12 hours of use and start at US$349, with shipping scheduled for October 13.
Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 camera glasses bring longer battery life, a customizable button and a 12-megapixel camera that records 3K video. Meta says they are available now from US$449. Meta’s glasses announcement has the details.
Meta also announced new features for Ray-Ban Display glasses: cycling and public-transit directions, walking directions based on landmarks, and an Explore app. Hologram makes a realistic animated version of your face for video calls after a short capture in the Meta AI app.
The directions arrive first in the US and Canada; Hologram starts US early access later this fall. Meta is expanding Display sales to the UK, Canada, France, Italy and Germany. The Display announcement has the rollout details.
VR glasses aim at the big screen

Meta’s new VR Glasses weigh about 100 grams. A wire connects them to a small unit in your pocket or bag, which holds the computer, battery and storage.
Meta presents them as a private cinema and multi-screen workspace, with immersive sports and games too. The company says the glasses will support more than 100 live US sports events each year and over 75 games playable with hand gestures at launch. Hologram calls are planned for the VR Glasses as well.
Meta also announced a major Beat Saber update for next spring. The glasses are planned for spring 2027 at US$1,299.99. Meta’s VR announcement explains the plan.
